{"id":328,"date":"2023-12-11T23:56:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T23:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ginninderra.com\/gi\/?p=328"},"modified":"2023-12-11T23:56:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T23:56:00","slug":"local-roads-and-community-infrastructure-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ginninderra.com\/gi\/local-roads-and-community-infrastructure-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lake Ginninderra this year will benefit from investment by the Australian Government\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210416114454\/https:\/\/www.act.gov.au\/our-canberra\/latest-news\/2021\/february\/whats-happening-with-act-roads-and-community-infrastructure\">Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program<\/a>. &nbsp;The infrastructure projects will help keep Belconnen moving as the ACT continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lake Ginninderra\u2019s swimming area at Yerra Beach, Western Foreshore will be revitalised with a top up of beach sand, landscaping improvements and an outdoor shower<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Belconnen Skate Park at Eastern Valley Way Inlet: install a new competition standard half pipe, repair deteriorated concrete areas and install a shade structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is in addition to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210416114454\/https:\/\/www.cityservices.act.gov.au\/Infrastructure-Projects\/programs\/infrastructure-investment-in-response-to-covid-19\">ACT Government\u2019s Fast Track program<\/a>&nbsp;that will replace the existing public toilet facilities at John Knight Memorial Park and a new pedestrian crossing on Chandler Street in Belconnen, providing a safe crossing point between the Canberra Labor Club and the car park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lake Ginninderra this year will benefit from investment by the Australian Government\u2019s&nbsp;Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. &nbsp;The infrastructure projects will help keep Belconnen moving as the ACT continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
