Eastern Valley Way Inlet

The Inlet is located on the Eastern Valley Way and Emu Bank side of Lake Ginninderra. Eastern Valley Way Inlet borders onto the Belconnen Skate Park.

The inlet was transformed into a wetland designed to filter stormwater through reed beds before it enters Lake Ginninderra in 2013. This wetland and the plants within it form habitat for water birds and animals.

The Eastern Valley Way Inlet bridge that links the Emu Bank Eat Street with UC Lake Ginninderra College on the opposite side of the lake comprises timbers that have historic significance as they are recycled from the old Tharwa bridge. From Eastern Valley Way Inlet it is only a short walk to John Knight Memorial Park and the University of Canberra.

Eastern Valley Way Inlet has its own Jetty which is used by the College for their Rowing program.
