Joynton Smith Drive Reserve is nestled between the Western Foreshore Park and the Promenade at Emu Inlet. Gummiuk Beach is conveniently tucked into the corner of the Reserve near the old Police Jetty.
There are no Barbecue facilities along Joynton Smith Drive Reserve, there is some seating and plenty of space to stretch out for a picnic along the very accessible foreshore.
If venturing off the Pedestrian Path is more your thing, the Reserve has some well established tracks which are ideal for dog walking, trailing running or riding your bike.
Joynton Smith Drive Reserve is a good blend of natural forest and gum trees giving it a very bush feel. It is one of many parks located around Lake Ginninderra. Views of the Sunrise from the reserve are simply breathtaking.
