The Lake Ginninderra Learn to Ride Centre situated in the Western Foreshore Park near Yerra Beach has the look and feel of a real road environment and are a safe space for young cyclists to learn riding skills. They include everything you would expect to see out in our suburbs, such as footpaths, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, line markings and road signs.
The centre is intended for children from preschool to year 4 and provide a non-threatening and fun environment where kids can learn all the basics from how to safely cross the road through to independent and confident riding on their own bike. The centre is also suitable for children with broad ranging skills and needs, including children with additional needs.
The Learn to Ride centre contributes to improving road safety for vulnerable road users by providing a controlled environment to educate and practice how to ride bicycles safely.
Access to the Centre is directly off the Pedestrian Path around Lake Ginninderra.
